Just uploaded another build, booting of course, (I don't know what's happening to you guys not booting the ROM, for the records I'm using stock PIT, I don't know if it's related to that) with some vold changes. Looks like I wont have much trouble with it.

Just flashed, as expected not everything works like File Manager requiring some privilege to open(screenshot below), Play Store taking forever to load for me to sign in, cannot downlosd anything from browser and things like that. I am surprised though that WiFi is working, Home Button works as well and no Dialer Animation Lag.

Still gonna fiddle around, see what I can do.
Also, cannot upload attatchment for screenshots. :p and colors not calibrated, it's not inverted as whites are still white but others are (like yellows are blue and blues are yellow)

Camera works (with and without flash) but photos taken are rotated in orientation, camera crashes when taking videos(no freezes just crash)

No sound as well and screenshots taken has artifacts. Dial Pad tones work but others nothing like alarm and timer.

Adding emails and using emails work. Cannot test phone and data, IMEI got wiped + don't have sim anyways.

MTP WORKS! Transferred a music file and the screenshots(see attachments). No audio and Music Player crashes. As for the colors, screenshots look normal with artifacts on PC, colors wonky only on phone.

Cannot also charge phone while off, it boots automatically(like early LP).
(I'm not complaining about these, just putting out there so people know what to expect if they want to flash this)

Also like early LP builds, I think this is on an emulated storage. Cannot see my files inside CM13 but I can see full storage in TWRP.

I was just going to say the same thing, that wifi is working, colours are messy and rotation is wonky. But overall I'm surprised with the speed and responsiveness consideing it's the second alpha.
Great work!

EDIT: Just saw the screenshots above, and those scribbles only appear on the screenshots not on the screen itself.

Yep. Also one thing I found under dev options. Is this an M feature? (Not on AOSParadox Marshmallow for OnePlus One accdg to my friend. Still havent checked on Nexus 6 of my friend)

I actually had to reflash for this, I forgot to check a while ago. LOL

System UI Tuner works too! Long press the Gear Icon in the Quick Settings panel to activate. (Too bad Dark Mode was removed from official Marshmallow. :( )

(3rd screenshot, notice the wrench icon beside the gear icon)

Strange, I don't see much of a difference compared to Android 5.x or maybe it's too early to say, since this is a Cyanogenmod build under heavy development.
Can someone share some highlights of what we should expect to be modified? I'm not just talking about the Android changelog here :)

There are no much difference between L and M. Almost only technical changes.

Now I have Alpha #2 stuck on starting apps process instead of just bootanimation.
How about you @Troubadour666

Just leave it as is. First boot took me 10-15mins then after restart, it started optimizing apps 1 of 1, that took a significant time too. (I'm using it now actually)

Well it was on Android is starting... like 10 minutes but I guess I need to try it one more time later. You mean restart after first boot completed?
I wonder what is the reason why it takes so much time. Even early L builds did not take more than 5 minutes to boot after the flash.

Yeah I "restarted" the phone after tinkering with it after first boot. (Didn't really retart it, powered it off while plugged in so I can reboot to recovery but like early LP builds, it turns on when plugged in)

That's weird. I can boot it. :silly: Stock PIT, coming from SlimLP. Wiped System, Data, Cache and Dalvik on TWRP. Then flashed CM13 and Open GApps Pico.

i do exactly the same man (coming slimLP too), "upgrading app without trouble" but bootlooped, let it go > 20min, still bootloop (i even do factory reset)

now i restore slimLP naturaly , will retry later.

i though clean kernel script helped yesterday but finaly not, seems this rom take its time to boot , depend of person :)

That method worked twice for me. :silly:
Wiped System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
Flash CM13 + Open GApps Pico
*fiddle around*
*restore SlimLP backup*
*wiped again and flash to fiddle around more*
Still running it now

Edit: just saw the edit. :silly: yeah it does take time to boot. I actually put it on top of an electric fan so it wouldn't heat up.

Internal SD. Straight from my Downloads folder. :p

i test now , again, let's see how it goes (i tried like this yesterday too)

thanks @SCPadgeebar for your reply.

after flash, i re-wipe cache/dalvik and rebooted.

now......it is (or seems stucking) on "starting apps......." after optimizing them in two pass (40apks.....bootanimation.....33 apks)

What... Does Gapps really "work" with it?

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     *
     * Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
     * cause of male impotence.
     */

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
    • For complete installation instructions click here.
    • Root is now disabled by default on CyanogenMod 13. To enable it go to Settings>Developer Options>Root access and set to Apps only or Apps and ADB.
    • CyanogenMod 13 comes with Cyanogen Recovery by default, if you don't like it you can flash alternative recoveries using IsoRec.
    • If you get an error message when flashing GApps you're probably running out of space in your /system partition. It is recommended to have 1GB to fit the ROM and the GApps ( The stock partition table has 512mb for /system). This thread has a good guide for repartitioning and this one has a great tool for repartitioning without Odin.
    • If you're interested in BLN, check this thread for a complete support of this feature.

    TRIM

    Very well, since there seems to be lot of demand for trim, I'll be merging @Lanchon patches on the official CM kernel. I think if anyone complain about it, he is able to provide me enough documentation on why trim is needed.
    If something bad out of it happens, I'll kill all of you who asked for it ( and revert the patch :) )
    That's all folks

    New build

    I uploaded a new build with most of my progress on CM13. Internal sdcard doesn't work as expected, thanks Samsung for your weird partition table. SELinux is almost done, not a problem anymore. I'll be working on GPS today, seems to be easy to get it working, then I also need to update DRM stuff again and then we'll have all the basic hardware working.
    I'm uploading mostly as a xmas gift to everyone as that's the best I can give for the moment :)

    New build

    I uploaded a fresh build with updated CM sources and fixes everywhere. The ROM now looks like a proper ROM, but a lot of stuff is still broken of course. I guess now we can start to fix the bugs.
    PS: Just realized I got the *Recognized Developer* title, very nice :eek:

    Just as an information to everyone, new builds weren't released because we now have a libMali.so crash when waking up the device screen on CM13. It leads to a 2 sec black screen and then soft reboot. So it's not worth to release a new build, but I'm working hard to port M to this device, anyone following my gerrit changes is aware of that ;)
